Welkom op de website van Kaluma, een ander thuis van de Vision Quest en meer. De naam Kaluma is een combinatie van Kali, Lua en Maeve. Deze website voorziet in informatie over de Vision Quest (wat, waarom, hoe, waar en wanneer). Daarnaast geeft het aanvullende activiteiten, werkwijze, een blog en agenda weer. Allen hebben het doel om samen te komen, opnieuw te verbinden met onszelf, elkaar en onze natuur.

VISION QUEST
VISION QUEST
Een Vision Quest is een overgangsritueel, een ritueel van transformatie, een dood- en wedergeboorte van jezelf. Voor de duur van drie of vier dagen en nachten zal de 'Vision Quester' met zichzelf zijn in de natuur. Met weinig comfort van de profane wereld. Zonder eten, tent, telefoon of enig ander voorwerp dat verveling of eenzaamheid kan verdoven.
En in plaats daarvan, te streven naar 'leeg'- zijn, vastberaden om jezelf geboren te laten worden. Jezelf te (her) claimen, in nieuw leven te stappen en op te staan.

"De zomer is gevlucht.
De bladeren gaan over in de heldere kleuren van de herfst.
Gehoorzamend aan een innerlijk verlangen dat niet langer kan worden ontkend,
laat de protagonist de rest van de wereld achter zich
en kruipt in een donkere, geheime plek op aarde
om te sterven en herboren te worden.
Ze vult de leegte van deze kleine plek met haar lichaam,
zoals de droge schil van een zaad de kostbare innerlijke geest omringt.
Ze bedekt zichzelf met de nacht
en laat de stilte toe om de aardse botten te bezitten.
In de baarmoeder-tombe van de Grote Moeder, wordt tijd "wachten" genoemd.
Geluid wordt ademhaling of hartslag genoemd.
Visie is een donker scherm dat wordt verlicht door wat de protagonist dan ook droomt of schildert.
Met niets te eten, te drinken of te doen, besteedt ze veel aandacht aan haar innerlijke duisternis.
Haar droge mond vult zich met katoen; haar buik huilt om voedsel;
haar lichaam wordt verkrampt en gepijnigd waardoor ze bijna het bestaan ervan moet vergeten.
Ze kan deze donkere doorgang van 'wachten' niet verdragen
zonder de geheimen van overgave te leren.
Als het zwichten komt,
splitst de droge schil van haar geestzaad uit elkaar.
Ze is niet langer een gevangene van zichzelf of haar omstandigheden.
Haar geest breekt voort uit zijn bed.
De plek van ´vergaan´ wordt geopend.
De dageraad overspoelt de leegte van de aardse baarmoeder.
Waar is de ingewijde?
Ze is niet hier.
Ze is opgestaan, als nieuwgeborene in de wereld."

DE NATUUR ALS VERHALENVERTELLER
Wij zijn simpelweg natuur. En het reflecteert ons verhaal, onze legende, wanneer wij ons openstellen voor haar en leren wezenlijk te luisteren.
Verbazing komt altijd weer wanneer ik stukken afval in de natuur zie liggen. Het voelt hetzelfde als mezelf met plastic voeden. Dit omdat ik geloof dat onze natuur een levend wezen is met een hyper intelligent bewustzijn.
Onze Moeder Aarde, een allesomvattende kracht. En Ze is wie wij zijn.
In de verbinding met natuur vond ik diepe reflectie, bevrijding en belichaming van mezelf. De natuur heeft zoveel magische verhalen om te delen. Met een diep verlangen om door ons gehoord te worden.
Een wezenlijke reflectie: wij verlangen als mens naar onze eigen ware natuur en kunnen vanuit deze kern werkelijk in ons eigen leven gaan staan.
Precies dit voelbare verlangen in ons als mens en in de natuur heeft mij Kaluma doen creëren. Kaluma dient als een gids om onszelf met toewijding op de natuur af te stemmen. Ons op elkaar af te stemmen en het mysterie te leren kennen en omarmen. De magie van de bergen ligt telkens weer op ons te wachten. En zoals zo prachtig omschreven: "Zo binnen, zo buiten.
Zo boven, zo beneden (Hermes Trismegistus)."
